Where To Stay In Palo Alto – A Review of The Clement Hotel

The Clement is definitely where you need to stay when planning your getaway to Palo Alto, San Jose or San Francisco! My son, age 9, and I spent the whole weekend here. The Clement is a luxury hotel with a boutique style located near Stanford Mall in Palo Alto CA. This makes it quite an ideal option for travelers who want to explore Palo Alto, shop and be pampered.

The Perfect Location
The Clement is in a location where it is extremely convenient to get around the city. If the weather is nice, you can easily walk to many nearby stores. We didn't pack a bathing suit but was able to walk about 2 blocks away to grab swim suits from the local shops, and also grab a Jamba Juice and pick up some eye drops at CVS.
If you’re going somewhere nearby and don’t want to enjoy the stroll, just stop at the concierge and ask for a courtesy lift around town. There is valet parking only so please keep that in mind when parking and getting things out of your car, as the garage is off limits. When you arrive at The Clement just pull up on the side and someone will be right out to help you with your bags and park your car for you.

The location is totally secured and you have to be let in the door to gain access. Once you have you room key you don't have to worry about being locked out of the hotel because it gives you access to the front door.

Enjoy The Comforts of Luxury

Although you may want to explore Palo Alto as soon as possible, The Clement offers a conference room, beautiful pool, a fitness center and fine dining all on site. Each room is equipped with a  coffee machine with complimentary coffee pods to get you going first thing in the morning. The mini fridge is stocked with your requests before you arrive. There is also A/V connections for those that want to bring their video games and connect to the massive flat screen TVs in the suites.

You won’t need to pack a hair dryer, beauty mirror, flat iron, soaps, q-tips, cotton balls, make up removers because the bathroom vanity is completely stocked with your needs.

Suite Treats
We were upgraded to a Suite, Suite #34, by the staff who were very attentive and polite. The 1 bedroom king suite has a bed that is quite comfortable, remote controlled windows and blinds, heated floors, an $8,000 toilet room, and plenty of space to unwind and relax.

When you stay at The Clement you will enjoy complimentary WiFi, newspapers, and magazines.

Little Luxuries

One of the first things I noticed when I walked into the bathroom, other than the heated floors, massive bathtub and gorgeous walk in shower, were these adorable little toiletries.

What a cute little surprise to see a welcome basket and stationary with my name on it! The Clement really knows how to make a girl feel special!

What's for Breakfast!

When it’s time to eat The Clement offers up fine cuisine with elegant décor. You can also order in-room dining if you’d like to take it easy. We decided after the long 7 hour drive that we would order in. Egg white omelettes, bagels, muffins, juice, was the choice fit for our day in Palo Alto. We made out selection the night before and opted to have breakfast served at 7am, and exactly at 7am was a doorbell ring and our food had arrived.

You can also have dinner in the dinning area and can see your food being prepared by the chef. Plus if there was a particular food item that was not on the menu the staff at The Clement will do everything possible to make sure your needs are met.

I bet you didn’t know that The Clement has a rooftop patio, sauna, and pool where you can eat under the stars in a canape or by the fire place.

The details

Staying at The Clement will give you luxuries that you may not have considered before. Such as UV ray sunglasses available to you by the pool, guitars in the dinning area to play, a gym with a treadmill facing the sunrise. The small details were considered for the occupants at The Clement that you will want to return again and again. You will also receive a survey before you arrive to let the staff know of any special requests and what you want your mini fridge stocked with, we opted for Sprite and Cola because we don't drink but wine is a good option.

Conclusion

Staying at The Clement Palo Alto was a great experience and I highly recommend them for your Bay area travel plans. The location is perfect for exploring the city and the service will make you feel very welcome that you wont want to stay any place else. My 9 year old enjoyed his stay because of all the cartoon options on the TV and the free WiFi.
