Destination Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch in October

Time for a little family fun this October? Got hit with the All Things Pumpkin bug? Well check out Irvine Park Railroad. It's a great place for the entire family.

The railroad will be open everyday until Halloween. I would suggest getting there early if you want a good parking spot and there is a sea of cars trying to get inside, there is a $5 parking fee to pay.

We were able to climb aboard this fabulous train. The ride itself is about 10 minutes long. Once on the train you get to see other family adventures that the park has to offer like paddle rides in the lake and bike rentals so you can ride on the trails in the park.

After we road the train we decided to check out the Pumpkin Patch. There was families everywhere taking pictures of their kids with pumpkins. It was kinda cute seeing the little babies and toddlers touching pumpkins for the very 1st time in their young lives.

Each activity cost tickets. You can purchase a book of tickets for about $60, a $15 savings. That will allow you to ride the train, do pumpkin patch actvities and even the gold mine, which my son loved, who can beat playing in water and searching for gold?

We spotted this huge pumkin at the exit. We took a guess at the weight being 123 pounds, don't know if we came close, what do you think??

At one of the booths they had cotton candy, pretzels, caramel popcorn and ice creams. Jayden opted for the snow cone and I got the cotton candy, together it was about $6, not too bad.

Heading over to the gold rush part of the pumpkin patch we saw this cool height measuring board. Since we are going to visit next year for sure, I thought it would be cute to see how much Jayden would have grown each year. Can't wait to find out in 2016.
